haha alright, so...had a great time in singapore, albeit short. went home for Jesus' birthday and the start to the new year - yay! happy 2010 everyone!! :)

spent most of my 2-3 week break with family and with the great food of singapore...and now i've been back down under for the last...7 weeks? yea, 4 weeks of a continuation of my summer job, 2 weeks in Albany on course, and just ended 1st week of semester 1 in uni.

so...summer job! i thank God so much for the grace n favour He's poured into my life. He gave a summer job to me w/o me even looking for one :) yup was working with a doctor and a vet to study the connection between wildlife health and human health. pretty cool stuff n woopee they're employing me for the rest of the year to continue the project! :D furthermore, i would be able to extend it into an honours project for next yr too!! woohoo! praise God He's just so good :)

2 weeks in albany was DA BOMB! it was part of my course, did a unit called Saving Endangered Species. 1 week focused on plants, 1 week focused on animals. it was awesommmee...am missing it so much! the weather was wayy cooler (today i'm roasting at 42degC!), the scenery stunning, and the people wonderful :) Learnt alot and contributed to collecting data for Torndirrup national park for DEC (Dept of Environment and Conservation), meeting people who worked in various fields including local govt and getting a peek into their work and their perspectives on conservation. Good stuff.

when i came back, celebrated cny with some old n new friends on saturday! haha i dressed up as a tiger :p since i didnt have anything chinesey to wear. hehe. ya n i attempted to bake brownies - they tasted great but looked really messy cos they stuck to the tin despite me oiling the tray :(

1st week back at uni has been pretty intense despite less contact hours (i FINALLY have a day off!!!)...1 week in and i already have heaps of work and readings to do! wow. and on tues night i suddenly had like horrible fever n chills, waking up on wed my temp was 38degC!! the whole day i was feeling awful, aching n weak n everything. it was so weird n sudden. but thank God i was perfectly fine today!! :) wonder what happened man...

Mmm yup. other than all that, i'm really excited for 2010!!! :D i know God has awesome amazing stuff in store for us this year! yupp i'm esp looking fwd to seeing the church step out and be what it was always meant to be - not a "holy huddle" of believers, but the hands and feet and heart of Jesus: breaking out into the city/world with real-life genuine love of God for people everywhere, believer yet or not! how else will people know He is real? Only when they see with their own eyes, hear with their ears, feel with their hearts the very love of God shown thru His people. C'mon church, we can no longer be silent, apathetic, divided or hypocritical - let's be the change-makers. :)
