Not home yet!
I finally know now what Paul was talking about:
2 Corinthians 5:1-2 - "Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling.."
I've been feeling that...that inward groaning, such longing for something more n something better. Knowing that though I live this life, heaven is my real home, and i'm not home yet!
N it changes my perception, the way I live my life. Becos now I know that indeed, to die is gain and to live is Christ (Philippians 1:21). That I could only live for Christ - Jesus! He's everything I long for, He is my treasure. Not chasing after treasures of this world, or even after the treasures He could give..but chasing after HIM, the treasure in itself, all-encompassing, all I need n want, in Him alone.
You brought me to this world
and it's only by your grace that I live another day
And all you've done for me is more than I deserve
So I'll follow you today
And though I live this life
Heaven is my home
And now this life I live in Christ
Who gave his life for me
And until the day I die,
I'll sacrifice my all
Cos I know this place is not my own
It's only in Your arms
that I'm home
When all is said and done and the dust returns to dust
And the old has passed away
And all the kings and queens finally understand
That a house is not a home
And though I live this life
Heaven is my home
And now this life I live in Christ
Who gave his life for me
And until the day I die,
I'll sacrifice my all
Cos I know this place is not my own
It's only in Your arms
that I'm home
Though I live this life I've never felt like I belong
