sponges bob pants & friends!

Deck the halls with lots of animals, phyla-lalala lalalala...

Hahahaha oh man uni is making me lamer than ever!

Well yes, we have been getting our minds and hands busy with animal biology, having to memorise 9 different Phyla (basically groups of animals la), including the one in which spongebob belongs to - Porifera. (YES sponges ARE real animals, and they have no nervous system, which explains why spongebob can pull off his own arms and not hurt...but...they don't often come in pants. awww.)

So during lecture I drew Spongebob Squarepants on the top right-hand corner of this slide on Yaojun's notes. Sadly my phone camera ain't got no focusing ability/macro function, so boo can't really see it. K the slide says "Phylum Porifera (the sponges)" I started writing "bob" after "sponges" and Yaojun said (u hav to read this aloud): "sponges bob pants". Hehehe. oh yea...maybe more biologically correct hor...sponges are never square i think, unless u cut them into shape, so spongebob pants might work...or...since sponges are assymmetrical animals, maybe spongebob assymmetricalpants. HAHAHA I'M SO RANDOM TODAY!! :p Reminds me of one of my JC lecture notes that had a pentagon on it n i drew in spongebob's features n named it spongebob pentagonpants.

Kk enuf of my sponge nonsense. Today was our first animal bio lab n we got to "tear apart" mussel clump communities (i.e. whole bunches of animals living together in one clump with mussels - YES mussels are animals. n they taste good too, baked with cheese/tomato salsa) and we got to look at *sea critters!* Not just spongebob, but all his friends too. Haha well i must say they didn't smell too good n most of them were worm-like creatures. But, it was still pretty cool to look at them n try and figure out what creature was what. (Many thanks to the TCC pastors/staff who have marine tanks in the office @ adam who taught me quite a bit about them sea critters. I'm pretty much a land-person (yea LAND critter), so stuff under the sea is abit...alien...haha they kinda DO look out-of-this-world u know!)

Well, that's about it for now. i'm going to figure out maaaaath now. Tune in next time to sponges bob pants & friends!

FAMILY, I still miss you a lot a lot a lot. Hope u're doing good, you all take care ok? :)
