Hey hey!! :)

I'm thankful that i'm now in the living room with 4 other people and a little gas heater and TV on to "Singing Bee" (it's looks so fun! haha it's like spelling bee, but instead of spelling words, u sing-in-the-blanks! a bit like 'don't forget the lyrics')...because it is SO COLDDDDDD today!! Man, it was 8 deg C in the day time, when u breathed u formed clouds. hahaha. Yea so u can imagine how cold it is now that the sun has set. Good thing there was still some sun in the day (and rainbows!) so it got a little warmer in the afternoon :)

So.

1st week back here is almost done. Today's the last day of July. I shall summarise (as far as my wonderful summary skills go) my week in point form (or as the aussies say dot points!)

Mon
- 1st day of sch. had macs breakfast with lynnette. see post below.

Tues
- Cold and raining in the morn and arrived early in sch, so snuggled up in a chair with good hot vanilla chai tea and wholesome DNA extraction lab notes.

- Morning biometrics and learning/revising excel functions

- Afternoon Christine gave Lynnette n I (See lynnette i used proper ENGRISH ok! haha) a lift to SCIE lab. Why drive? Becos it's 20 minutes walk away, off-campus! Ya man, BUT it's pretty cool...we get to wear those surgical lab coat things complete with smelly iodine handsoap and latex gloves, n yes the equipment is awesome. I dunno how many times i exclaimed with much excitement "COOL!" during that 2-hr session in the lab, lynnette did u count? DNA extraction was pretty cool, tho i've seen it before. I still haven't lost my fascination with using nifty bio equipment like micropipettes (called a PIPETMAN here. HAHA...imagine a new superhero..."You need a volume smaller than the smallest millilitre? Don't fret, PIPETMAN is here!!")

- Hungry jacks (essentially aussie BK) for dinner, Lynnette n I (perfect english once again!) shared 2 chicken baguette things, then gelare tuesday half-price waffles for dessert. We wanted to catch batman that night. But after travelling thru rain n cold on bus n train n foot............to find that batman had eluded us once more! (NNOOOOOoooooOOO) ok ok, so not "once more", we're not supervillains so this was the 1st attempt. But yes, the show was FULL and the next one was almost full too. But we couldn't afford to watch the next one or we'd end up going home at midnight :(

Wed
- Learnt that adult sea urchins are aggressive, selfish things. Put a baby sea urchin in the same burrow as an adult, the adult will walk over (yes, sea urchins can "walk", on their spines, not backbone-spines, the spikey spines) to the baby, lift it and push it over and out of the burrow. HAHA. Apparently adult urchins don't like kids very much.

- Always thought barnacles (haha i cant help but think of spongebob) were rock-like, nearly immobile things that don't do anything but stay stuck where they stick themselves. Turns out barnacles are rather violent animals. Haha. They beat each other up over territory, the bigger ones usually win, prying smaller ones off the rock till they topple and fall out from the rock. Talk about a surprising turn of events in WWB (world wrestling barnacles!). WHOA am i lame or am i LAME?? ahaha

Thurs
- Today! I had UNO, ONE lecture! just cos my labs today don't start till next wk. Whee. N lecture was rather fascinating, this Earth Science unit has like a bit of everything, from bio to history to geography to economics to current affairs...it's awesome man. haha, n i thot it was going to be utterly boring when i heard the unit outline last sem. Thank God i'm liking it.

- Attempted an apple strudel experiment. The custard was weird. But ppl still ate it anyway. I must stop being such an aunty and not always buy homebrand. haha homebrand custard is weird. (but their other things like chocolate wafers and teddies and muesli bars r pretty good tho)

Fri
- Tomorrow. Gonna have tours at some prospective halls. Haha so poor thing, they make someone clean up their room properly so we can see their room and get a good impression of the place. Oh yes! we're having cell dinner tmr too, seems like a long time since i've seen them.

Sat
- Sleep in a bit!

Sun
- Worship at God's House of course! :) Fellow ignyter Michael Teo is arriving today too.

K looks like i've far exceeded summary length. Haha hope u've enjoyed it somehow! hehehe :)
Alright! off to spend TAWG n sleep! Do keep me in prayer, am coughing quite a bit. (my mum says my lungs are feeling cold. hee.) Catch ya'll soon!
