Yay for homeostasis!!

Whew! it is HOT in heeere! Met services have been predicting STORMS but i've yet to see a drop of rain in this part of town.

Good thing toady it's not as hot as some other days, probably feeling the heat cos i've been getting a bit of a workout washing car yesterday and doing some gardening today (oops, i made part of e garden wall botak by pruning too much of the creeping vines...haha...what do I know about gardening?? the only gardening i've ever done is grow dao-gay on cotton wool [rem green beans in primary sch? :)], and water potted cactuses.) Eh, by the way, the family i gave cactuses to for Christmas - how are they doing? haha hope they're still alive n colourful. I will CHECK when i come back muahaha. :)

Well I wanna say thank You God for making human beings with homeostasis! (for those who never study Bio - homeostasis: the maintenance of a relatively constant internal environment. That includes body temperature!) I realised the importance of this when last wkend we took a trip down south.

It's amazing how 2 places so near each other can hav such different temps! We went south to escape the heatwave in our part of town, little did we expect to escape to the other extreme of the thermometer - from 40 deg C to 9-20 degC!! Then after the wkend we came back up north and WHOA it's sweltering! So imagine if we couldn't regulate body temp...*shudder* I think u'd probably die from changes in temperature when u travel (haha esp considering most human beings r rather hairless). So yeah...Yay for homeostasis! haha.
